First of all, I assume we need to look further into proposing a college night at the Fargo Theater. This seems to be the best idea and Margie like it as well. My main focus for the marking plan will be advertisement after the plan is actually set forth. I feel the major part of any marketing that is done is good advertisement. I also feel three cheap but effective advertising schemes can be assessed. First, I would push to use T-Stands in the Union to better promote a college night. These are inexpensive and do a good job at showing a mass amount of people what is going on. The student Union gets a tremendous amount of flow each and every day. Our fraternity has actually used these signs and asked students how they heard about our events. Nearly all of them has said they saw the T-Stand sign in the Union. The signs would be simple, but to the point, showing date, activity, etc. My second route for advertising would be small fliers put in the NDSU dining centers. Each table has a plastic tri-fold sitting on it, and these can be utilized for another cheap but effective advertising strategy. I have watched many students take the time to examine these nearly everyday at the Union dining center. Finally, I would suggest utilizing the NDSU list-serve to mass mail the students with upcoming events. I know many students like myself just delete the list-serve emails or block them. However, this is a virtually free service that requires only time. If even one potential customer is reached through the emails, that is one more customer than the theatre had before. These emails could be friendly reminders for college night, or could be more specific for each occasion taking place. Again, this is a way to reach the whole college population at a relatively costless approach. Overall, the students need as much information as possible as to the who’s, what’s, when’s, where’s, and why’s for college night. This I feel is the center of the marketing of our proposal. I may have taken the wrong approach to this blog, but I still think these areas are vital to the proposal.

Occupation for the future

In 10 years I am hoping to have a job with a programming or game design company. I plan to start immediately by studying classes related to my path. Closer to my graduation I plan to do an internship that deals with my career path. I will choose something that can give me a head start and somewhat of an advantage in my entry level job. I will probably end up doing the grunt work for my first job, but I hope to develop my programming and design skills. I intend to work my way up the positions in the business until I am manager or even team manager. Finally I hope that I will have enough experience to begin work as in a game development company. I would like to do the programming for video games ranging from computer games to basically any type of video game. If that doesn’t work out, I would really be happy doing any kind of programming or testing for different software products.
